Super small, super sweet, and very loyal! All of these adjectives describe Alfie our 6 yr old sort of long haired Chihuahua weighing 3.9 #. Alfie was found in the middle of the street with temperatures at that time about 90 degrees. He was extremely exhausted, dehydrated, and hungry when he was scooped up. His initial condition as well as poor dental health made us think he was much older, however several days of rest, food and love he began to age backwards. Per the vet with his clear eyes, his energy and no negative musculoskeletal issues he was aged at about 6 years old. All of our on site dogs at the rescue are small dogs and puppies and they are all bigger than Alfie. This being said, he runs with all of them and chooses different friends to cuddle up to. Given the opportunity he does his potty outside but if we wait too long he is pad trained . He adores being held and will stay in your arms until you put him down but that is never his choice.
Alfie would make a great companion in a quiet house where he gets lots of attention or can just be near his person. If we are out he is content in his bed.
Alfie is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and tick borne negative, wormed and he has a complete vet evaluation to include dental. His adoption fee is $400
