Emma – is currently being seen at Healing Hands for water treadmill, cold laser, and acupuncture to improve some back issues that she is having that affect her hind leg.

Emma is a 10-pound senior, found stray in Bexar County. She had a nasty open wound on her rear right leg. Emma has one eye, and on 4/16/2026 we removed her right rear leg secondary to cancer. She is already walking and is a determined, sweet little Shih Tzu. Update (8/1): her back is being cranky, and her hind leg won’t support her. Update 8/10: Emma is receiving rehab at Healing Hands to include Cold Laser, water treadmill and acupuncture. She is improving. Now able to hop sort distances again and able to stand to eat
