Symbol is a gorgeous little 7# red Pomeranian/ Chihuahua mix or Pomchi. He is two years old. His senior owner was breeding Pom mixes in New York. Her dementia was advanced, so the family got assistance from a local rescue for the many dogs and puppies on site. Symbol was the one dog she kept and packed him everywhere, but issues arose and the family had to rehome him. He is good with young children and adults but it will take possibly daysor weeks for him to trust you. Once he decides you are Ok he will be very close to you but with each new person in his life he will have to work through his very shy nature. He likes to be held but he is a busy little firecracker at times. If you know the Pommie breed you know what I mean. He is excellent in his small area at night. He is quiet and has made no potty accidents there. He is excellent with all his small 4-legged friends but at times the play gets a bit rough, so the adults call time out. He was previously in an apartment so is pretty good with halter and leash but could learn more. He has the most fun when he is outside and free to run and play.
He has learned a lot about outside bathroom activity but can still occasionally mark especially if a new dog arrives or the house gets crazy.
Symbol is fun, happy and always excited to do something.
He is neutered, microchipped vaccinated. Heartworm negative. Symbol did come from New York with Lyme disease but has completed his treatment for it and has never exhibited any symptoms.
He has had a complete vet evaluation to include bloodwork.
